Clovis Desktop

Requirements:

• Java 17+
• ComfyUI w/ API running at port 8188
• Ollama w/ API running at port 11434

Installation Steps

Ollama Setup

1. Install Ollama -> https://ollama.com/

2. Once installed, run the following in the terminal:

ollama pull openhermes

ComfyUI Setup

1. Install ComfyUI -> https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI?tab=readme-ov-file#installing

2. IMPORTANT: In the Clovis install folder, edit settings/settings.json and change the value of comfyui_dir to the ComfyUI folder. (the folder with the outputs folder)

3. (Optional) Install ReActor fro ComfyUI for face swap -> https://github.com/Gourieff/comfyui-reactor-node?tab=readme-ov-file#installation

Clovis Setup

1. Download Clovis:

2. Extract the zip file.

3. In the extracted folder, edit settings/settings.json and change the value of comfyui_dir to your ComfyUI folder.

4. Next, edit settings/checkpoints.json by adding your Stable Diffusion checkpoints to the list

5. Double-Click on clovis-desktop.jar to start Clovis

6. Type :help or ask a question to get started!

Clovis Tips

• IMPORTANT: To set the pool of checkpoints for Clovis to pick from, there is the file settings/checkpoints.json which contains a JSON array that stores the checkpoint data.
• To customize how Clovis responds, edit the file prompts/system.txt. I'll create a tutorial about the file format but as long as you follow the template, you can add examples and expand how Clovis works.
